This year’s Relay For Life of Thurston County presented by Peak Credit Union will take place at North Thurston High School beginning at noon on Saturday, June 20, and continuing through 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 21. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Start your day by visiting the Survivor & Caregiver Tent for sweet treats and a photo opportunity. At 1:30 p.m., we’ll kick off our event with the inspiring Survivor & Caregiver Lap—a joyful celebration honoring those who have faced cancer and the caregivers who have supported them every step of the way.
Need a little help getting around the track? Thanks to My Med Supplies, we have wheelchairs and walkers available at no charge, and volunteer “buddies” ready to assist or even walk the lap on your behalf if needed. At the finish line, survivors will receive a special medal to commemorate this year’s Relay.
Throughout the day, enjoy family-friendly fun, including food trucks, a car show, team tents, theme laps, and much more!
As the sun sets, gather with us at 8:45 p.m. for a meaningful Bell Ringing Ceremony. Whether you’re ringing the bell for your own milestone or in honor of a loved one, we invite you to join us on the track.
At 9:45 p.m., we’ll close out the day with the powerful Luminaria Ceremony. The track will be lined with hundreds of glowing bags—each one representing a loved one lost, someone still fighting, or a survivor. The stadium lights will go dark, and we’ll walk a silent lap in their honor.
Not staying overnight? Come back Sunday morning for donuts and our final lap at 9:30 a.m.
The American Cancer Society’s mission is “Every Cancer. Every Life.” This year, Relay For Life of Thurston County is aiming to raise $600,000 to support life-saving research and critical programs like Hope Lodge and Road to Recovery.
With 1 in 3 men and women facing a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, your participation makes a difference.
Join us on June 20 and help end cancer as we know it.
