DESCRIPTION:This season marks 68 years of serving our community in Thurs
 ton County. Capital Lakefair has been a local tradition since the inaugu
 ral festival in 1957\, when residents and area small businesses sought t
 o coordinate a family oriented summer event. Lakefair has helped to rais
 e millions of dollars for non-profit food vendors\, provided a venue for
  local and regional craft vendors\, and provided more than $400\,000 in 
 scholarship funding for students from local high schools to pursue the t
 rades and higher education.
